Flamingo Boutique Hotel & Ayurvedic Spa

Beautiful and peaceful hotel, perfect location right next to a gorgeous beach with canoes available. Staff was very friendly and helpful, food was delicious.

The room and bathroom lacked storage to put your clothes / belongings and racks or hooks to put your towels

A beautiful building with beautiful architectural details set in a quiet riverside garden setting. Loved being able to paddle the canoes to the beach and how uncrowded the beach was. Very convenient to have a quality restaurant onsite and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. They also arranged tuk tuk and backwater shikara tours for us.

Power sockets were all loose which made charging devices a challenge. WiFi was weak and didn’t reach the room - but it was sufficient in the common areas. Power sockets should be replaced and WiFi enhanced. Better clarity around room cleaning schedule could also be communicated.

The hospitality of the staff was good, and the dinner was nice. It’s a cozy place to stay, and the food is generally good. They also provide complimentary canoes for guests to use on a self-service basis to reach the beach.

However, the stay felt a bit pricey. The property is quite small, and apart from the swimming pool there isn’t much else to do. Also beach is 7-8min walk from hotel. The breakfast menu also has very few choices. there were quite a lot of mosquitoes in both the rooms and the dining area, which was uncomfortable. The room fan had quite a lot of dust on it, which wasn’t very pleasant

Beautiful property right on the water and a few minutes from the beach. Everyone was really friendly and helpful and the room was spacious, clean, and super comfortable. The food was also delicious! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to relax for a few days.

Great quiet hotel, with great food, great staff and nice pool in surroundings. It by the backwaters and you can take a canoe to thd beach which is about 7 minutes away which was most perfect and special experience. It was one the cheaper hotels in Marari, but worth every penny and honestly more. Very recommended!

This is a little piece of heaven. The heritage rooms and open areas are really beautiful, spacious and clean. The staff are consistently charming and helpful. They helped us to arrange visits to a bird sanctuary and temple and sorted out transport for us. The kayak paddle to the beach is delightful and the Ayurvedic full body massage was so good I had two.

The pool is a little small and it would be good if the management could prevent guests reserving a sunbed with their towels.

We had a lovely stay. All the staff receptionist, waiters cleaner were attentive and genuinely friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Kerela.

Lovely pool to relax in with plenty of sun beds. Food excellent and plenty of choice for breakfast.

Breakfast was lovely in covered restaurant by the canal. Everything was only a few steps from your room. Great place for a relaxing break. It has everything you need including canoes to the beach?

Very nice location with access to the beach via the river. You can enjoy a beautiful ride on a canoe and see all the birds.

Despite 80% of the customers being western people (mostly European), the Breakfast is very poor. No bakery, no pastry. A small plate of fruits. The staff of breakfast should be more friendly, they never smille and talk as low as possible. The only pleasant staff we met was the reception manager and the cleaning ladies.

Pool size and number of beds can get limited on busy days. The huge bathroom is cool but still it has limited space to put your stuff and it is smelly at times.

Location of this property is fabulous , very relaxed , lovely pool, rowing to the beach is magical. The beach itself was a lovely. surprise as it is clean and there are sunbeds to rent if you walk about 10 minutes along the beach which we really enjoyed. The menu / food in the restaurant was excellent some of the best we had in a 6 week trip of India . The staff were very helpful and kind .

Our room was very dark and there was no outside space . Also a little noisy from the road and the next door dog was barking in the night... this needs to be addressed . There are better rooms I think we had bad luck but we were there for 6 nights it would have been nice to have been offered a better room. Indian breakfast choice a bit limited.

We had a fabulous 3 nights here. Everything about it was right. Lovely open reception, only a few rooms, lots of space to wander round. Our rooms was fabulous. Spacious, comfortable, and with a lovely large bathroom. Staff were brilliant. ‘Sharon’ (I think - sorry) was especially helpful and friendly. Food was excellent. Wonderful fish curries etc. We went to Fisherman’s Café one evening, which was outstanding, and Palm Heaven another, good but not as good. But almost the best bit is the 10-minute kayak ride through the tropical backwater, dodging swooping eagles and colourful bee eaters, to get to the beach that spreads into the distance in both directions. The beach is wonderful and almost private. And visit the excellent small craft shop 5 mins along the road. I’d come back here in a flash.

This hotel is on a backwater channel leading down to a quiet beach less than ten minutes away. The restaurant menu is good with vegan and veggie options. The pool is 10mtrs and warm. There are Kingfishers, Eagles, Flycatchers and other birds. Free canoes and basic bicycles are avaialable. It's very clean with lots of attention to detail. The air con works well. There are only ten rooms. There's not a lot around the hotel but you don't really need it. Very relaxing. The hotel staff are superb. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in.

I liked everything about this hotel. Obviously the wonderful location includes mosquitoes, they like me so I used repellant and it was OK.
